Who we are

Align India(“Align India”, “we”) helps international companies enter and operate in India, and source from India for export. We decide how the personal data described here is used. Contact us about anything in this notice at singh@align-india.com.

What we hold and where it comes from

We hold business contact details: name, job title, company, work email, work phone and country, plus notes of our contact with you.

  • From you, when you send an enquiry or download a resource on our website.
  • From introductions by people you know, such as accountants, lawyers or trade bodies.
  • From public sources and business-data providers, such as company websites, professional profiles and B2B contact databases (for example Vibe Prospecting by Explorium).

When you visit our website we also note which page you arrived on and the website or campaign that sent you, if you go on to contact us.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and provide the services you ask for.
  • To contact businesses that may benefit from our India market-entry and sourcing services. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in offering relevant services to businesses, and only about matters related to your role.
  • To keep a record of our contact with you, including any request not to be contacted.

We use AI tools to research companies from public information. We do not sell or rent personal data.

Opting out

Reply to any email from us with “no thanks”, or write to singh@align-india.com, and we will not contact you again. We keep your email address on a do-not-contact list so that you are never added back by mistake.

Who we share it with

Our service providers, under contract and only to run our business: website and database hosting, email, and the research and data tools named above. Some of these providers process data outside the UK and India under appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

Prospect details for up to two years after our last contact, unless you become a client. Client records for as long as the law requires for accounting and tax. Do-not-contact entries for as long as we contact businesses.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our use of it at any time, using the contact above. If you are in the UK you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); elsewhere, to your local data protection authority.
